Internationalizing AFS

Through its new vocation, AFS had found a way to promote what the drivers had discovered abroad---the benefits of living with people of another culture. It developed a model of a workable "homestay" program and exported it. Now it was time for what had begun in a Franco-American perspective, expanding into bilateral exchange between the US and other countries, to be transformed into what AFS is today: a network of true international student exchanges.
